So it has happened again! After we caught Gwen eating pongo just a few days ago we just assumed that she had gotten sick and died and that Gwen was just cleaning up the remains. Well tonight when my sister went to feed them she found Gwen eating Daisy's foot off!!!! We managed to get daisy away but her foot is completely gone. I'm completely torn up and we're rushing daisy to the vet but I'm just completely at a loss as to what could be going on. Daisy is 7 weeks oop and things have been going completely fine she's been completely healthy!!! Has anyone ever had this happen?? I'm so worried these are my babies!!!

Oh my gosh!!!! That's insane! I wish I could help you in this situation. I don't know what's going on here! Be careful when you separate him and he doesn't start to self mutilate too. My thoughts are with you and I hope someone has some useful advice for you!

How is Daisy after the vet visit? Is she Gwen's joey? I have heard that this does happen sometimes - sounds like, if Daisy is a joey, that you will need to keep her away from mom and hand raise her. She can have a full, happy life with 3 feet.

Here is a link to a couple articles on hand-raising a joey (Suz' Sugar Gliders is the author). I hope this help! I hope that little Daisy is doing well!

This is my little Daisy today. Her leg has been cleaned and bandaged up and she had been eating really well despite what happened yesterday. I still have no idea why Gwen would do this to her little Joey. I mean Daisy is almost 8 weeks oop.
