What bonding technique should I use when she is to scared. Aslk I put her in her cage for the night after holding her in my bonding pouch for at least 4 hours (she doesn't want to come out even at 10:00 at night.).

you say you have only had her 2 days? mine didnt come out for a few days until there was no one in the room. i could hear them if i stood in the other room, but absolutely they wouldnt be seen. then for a little while, they would stay out until someone came close to the cage. it took a while. i dont know if yours are full grown or babies? i'm new to all this too, but maybe she is just afraid still. i know some people put them in a tent or small closed off room and get them out and let them run around on them. wish i could help more.

First, calm down. She is probably scared and trying to get used to her new sights and sounds. Mine won't really eat out of my hands either (except for treats) and I've had them for 3 years. Be patient and give her time. Thats what it takes. You are on her time.

I would like you to calm down and see what she does tonight. If she eats and drinks out of your hand that is a good sign and she does not sound that scared to me at all.

You have only had her for two days correct? She is getting use to you and her new home. How old is she?

Also a glider getting up at 10 pm is perfectly normal.

Did you get two of them, or just one? She may be missing her colony if she is just nine weeks OOP.

Give her some time to get used to the new environment, and think about getting her a buddy so she will have someone to snuggle with.

My little Kami, who I've had for nearly 2 months, still won't come to me unless I am offering a meal worm or yogurt drop.

Good Luck

Think like she is thinking..I am about 50-60 grams and you are a giant to me. I have never met you before and you smell very different from my other home. I have a new cage and toy's...going to be cautious and come out when no one is around in case you may be a predictor. Just take things slow even if she is on her pouch sit by the cage and talk to her, over the next few days let her come to you not you go to her. Offer treats slowly and though the bars of the cage she will come around it just takes a bit of time and for her to become familiar with all the new things around her.

Good Luck

BCChins is right on.

For the first week you just want her to get used to the sounds and smells of your home and people.

If you sit by the cage and just talk to her and offer yoggies if she comes to you (thru the bars).

That first week my twins were home I only put in the food dishes at nite and took them out in the morning and talked to them and offered them treats if they came up to me to say hi.

You can take small fleece squares "blankies" and tuck them into your clothes or sleep on them put it in her pocket to help her get used to your scent too.

good luck with your new babies

update: She has come around. Holding her and breaking my heart watching her squirm to get to safety has paid off. She is now starting to cone out halfway and she will even play with me! Like I said the breeder gave me a a glider that she worked with personally as she ismy first. She iis running to my armpit when she gets scared which is a good sign. I am going to keep doing what I'm doing and hope for even more results. Thanks guys! BTW her name is Evee.
Thanks for all of your help. It all was use full and helped me through the process (which I am still going through)
