i was thinking of lining the bottom of the cage with sisal. i thought not only would they like it but maybe they'll scratch t it and it will trim their nails. what do u guys think about this?

Like a mat? My only worry would be if it would hurt the little pads on their feet (unless there is a barrier between them). But then again, I just know sisal from looking it up online. I could be totally wrong.

Oooh that what it is lol. I looked it up and got a plant, make sense now. I am guessing it is safe (not sure). But I wouldn't have it in the cage. Maybe as and outside the cage kind of toy, climbing thing. Would like to know what others think on this.
