Hello everyone! I'm a new glider owner and my baby is 9 weeks old. I've read different things and I wanted to clear up some questions I have about play and bonding time. I was told to not let this little guy off my body when he is out of his cage but I'm at the point after only a week of having him that I don't know how to play with him!!! He is super sweet, no biting. He wants to explore and I read that tents are great for bonding and playing. (Im sorry if these are stupid questions). So my questions are:

1. What types of toys do I put in the tent
2. What kind of treats do they like besides yogurt drops and dried fruits (he likes neither) for playtime
3. What kind of play...like should I get a small ball of foil or some other kind and roll to him????
4. I've heard teaching them tricks helps w bonding but have never taught an animal tricks (did not grow up with dogs), so what is the best approach?
5. Is the best play time in the AM before work or after work/before bedtime?

Oh another question about bonding but not ab tents... Should I keep other people from picking him up and carrying him around until he has bonded with me or does it matter? (My family loves him)
Thank you so much for any help!!!

I have not heard about teaching tricks to a glider. curious.

I put in braided fleece climbing ropes, some ferret or non-catnip cat toys like jingle balls, feathers, larger plastic ball with holes in it mine love which I think is called a ferret roll around ball, a small bin or hammock filled with plastic easter eggs or little balls (looks like a mini kid's ball pit) Those are just a few quick and simple ideas.

Treats, you can add meal worms or crickets, yogurt off your finger you can try, fruits that you would normally feed.

I don't like to do playtime in the day, but they are more slow moving in the am. Just don't have them out long, they need their sleep.

Hi:
1. What types of toys do I put in the tent? I hang vines with safety pins, Take a wheel in, feather teasers, bubbles, mealworms, occ marshmallows
2. What kind of treats do they like besides yogurt drops and dried fruits (he likes neither) for playtime? Pine nus in moderation, almonds
3. What kind of play...like should I get a small ball of foil or some other kind and roll to him???? You can get crinkle balls, dook and dance toys in the ferret section.
4. I've heard teaching them tricks helps w bonding but have never taught an animal tricks (did not grow up with dogs), so what is the best approach?I have taught no tricks, they can be repetitive so anything is possible
5. Is the best play time in the AM before work or after work/before bedtime?Whenever they are going to want to get up and play.

Oh another question about bonding but not ab tents... Should I keep other people from picking him up and carrying him around until he has bonded with me or does it matter? (My family loves him) Naw its not gonna hurt for him to socialize! ;)
Thank you so much for any help!!!

I actually found that, with my girl, she calmed down a lot when my mom would spend a few hours a day holding her in her pouch. Penny was very nervous when I got her so initially we just placed our hands in her pouch and eventually she would climb up on the back of our hands. My mom would sit with her for hours and I think that was the ice breaker. My point is I think it's great to let other trustworthy family members hold your baby.

Also, I like to do morning playtime (around 5am) because once it gets light they start to settle down and it's pretty easy to get them to climb into a pouch. If I do nighttime play they are so wound up it's nearly impossible to round them up to get them back into their cage!
