In a few years, I may establish a breeding program.

If a crossed a leu with a mosaic, would it be mosaic because mosaic is dominate?

I like the colors:
Platinum
Leu
Mosaic
Ringtail***
White tip**
Lion and cinnamon
Black Beauty

What are prices on these and which color should I breed for? What
Colors can I use to get that color?

They would be either Mosaic or classic grey.

If they do not get the dominate Mosaic gene they will appear grey but be 100% Leu het (carrying a single leu gene from the Leu parent).

The ringtail gliders are a variation of the mosaic.

White tip gliders (Classic grey except for the white tip of their tail) are much less common. You might talk to some breeders about pairings that will produce the white tip. I am not sure if it is a clear cut recessive trait or not.

So far white tip seems to still be one of those things that just "pops up." It CAN run in family lines, but it's not consistent.

Mosaic and WF are dominant, you only need one parent to pass on the trait, and both can occur in the presence of recessive colors (i.e. you can have a WF platinum, or a cemeino mosaic if both parents also carried the recessive trait).

Platinum, leu, albino, and cremeino are recessive, they need both parents to be carriers of the gene to pass it on.

Lion, cinnamon, and black beauty are all really color variations of gray. Cinnamon and lion are two that you have to be careful to make sure they do not originate from a poor diet and living conditions. There are a great deal of less informed and less scrupulous breeders out there who sell "cinnamons" who are simply stained grays. Black beauty can occur out of any pairing that may produce gray, although it can also be selectively bred for to a degree.

I just paired a leu male with WF mosaic and a standard grey sisters, both a leu hets.

I've excited to see what I get, though I know I'm limited to mosaics, greys or leus. :)

If the mosaic is truly a WF, you will get those as well.
