A video posted a few days ago caught my interest because it displayed eyeshine which can be rather creepy in the dark. I set out to duplicate this and I had a lot of issues. I finally figured out the magic balance to make it work right and tonight I plan on using the method on my cages before I feed them. Hungry gliders are attentive gliders.

So I challenge you to try to capture some neat Eye Shine video or stills.

The trick is to be at a distance, not close, with a bright point source light. You can zoom in for effect, but you have to be a distance away for the light to align properly to reflect back like it does.

Phone cameras with video "flash" lamp work pretty well actually. I am going to try with my good camera now that I have a method.

I usually sit on the sofa watching them and recording their little eyes are what gives my babies away

Cool...and kind of creepy. I'd try it but my phone camera sucks.

They do look hungry.
