I found her boyfriend... and he is coming home Monday 7/14/14! YES!!! NEXT MONDAY!!! Flying all the way from OHIO!!!
Meet Gambit! (yes from x men.... but im talking about comic book Gambit... not movies gambit! THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!!!)
There are rare gliders that are Black faced Black Beauties. I am not sure who had them or breeds them but they are gorgeous. I'll see if I can find some pics of them.
Oh my...I haven't seen the black faced yet. They are quite unique. I have a fetish for the different color variations...I'm not overly fond of pure lue or albino...but if I had a breeding plan, a leu would definitely be a good choice. I'm looking into getting a mosaic or pie male for my plat females.
The first really dark 'black face' glider was a SunCoast glider named Elvis. I think his picture is the second one posted above.
SunCoast is no longer breeding but you could contact Lisa through the SunCoast web page and she could put you in contact with the breeder that has Elvis and is breeding for the dark face.
There are quite a few breeders that are breeding bfbb's now. Most of them have waiting lists for their Joeys though. I think they are really nice looking too.
Lists are quite long lol .... I wanted one but I'm not very patient! My gambits mom was BB so hopefully we might have bb babies lol (not super dark but that's ok with me)
I have also been told that you don't need a bfbb to produce one. However, I would think that it would be more likely if it was somewhere in the lineage at least.
I know! I am soooo excited! His flight left Ohio this morning at 8:01 am... and landed in IL at 8:27 am... Now i have to wait until 11 something for his next flight to leave heading down here to Florida... BLEH! I hope the flights go well... I saw someone post that united lost their glider.... I am having really bad anxiety!
I checked his flight... He left IL at 11... And he comes in at 2:30 estimated time... I dont get off work until 3.... Will they call me when he arrives?!
I know! His mother and twin sister were Black Beauties (BB) and Rogue's mom was a creme and dad mos with pied lines and her twin sister had pied marker on her hip :P They both have VERY low leu het... He has 12.5% and she has 6.25%... BUT!!! It is possible!
SO!!! Think about those combinations of joeys! lol
I did introductions last night with Rogue and Gambit.. I understand introducing them quick can be bad if not all proper steps are taken and the consequences if anything was to happen. Gambit and Rogue and together and happy. Not a crab or peep or squabble! They are doing amazing and I wouldn't do it any other way! So please keep your negativity to your self!
OH my GOODNESS!!!! THey are so beautiful. Congrats to you!! I personally don't care for the black beauty gliders I like more the mosaics and the piebald. I even like the standard glider looks.
