I called to bring the girls in for their well check and our beloved vet has gone to another clinic. She was absolutely wonderful with gliders and I was so happy to have her so close, only 10-15 minute drive. There is an older man, I suppose near retirement, at the office who I've never seen that I knew treated gliders as well. We will see how it goes today (thank goodness it wasn't an emergency trip) and if I'm not very happy with him, I'll be switching to the new office...even though it's a traffic filled drive of about an hour. Not an issue if I know they're going to get the best care. And nothing considered to the several hours round trip that I've heard of others doing.

Just a reminder that researching your area for vets specifically trained in treating gliders before bringing your first ones home is very important, especially if traveling a longer distance is going to be a problem for you.
