So one of my gliders is a giant couch potato and im trying to get him to be more active. I have found that they both lovvvvve feathers. They chase and attack them and its adorable but I want to make sure its ok for them to chew on them. The feathers im using are actually turkey and fesant feathers my dad has saved from his hunts so theres no weird fake colors or dyes. Are they ok to be used as toys? Also if they eat a bit of it is that ok? They go a little crazy with the attack and I cant tell for sure if any is ingested.

Yes, they are great! My gliders LOVE feathers. I have a Sun Conure and when she molts her long tail and wing feathers I give them to the gliders to destroy!

We warn folks about the colored/dyed feathers to only be used for supervised play time...like tent time, because the colors/dyes can come off if they get wet(like if they are getting peed on)!
