I will only post on this because I happened to be talking with Priscilla Price on Friday about the mother of my newest little boy. She had gotten a horrible mating wound while nearing her twins being OOP. They had to take her to have her stitched (in her case) but, she was put back in with her colony. And she was able to make it through that stress and healing well though pregnant. I would think other than handling her very gently, that the salt water solution is a good idea until you can get her some other meds. Even with those meds...usually they are 'cream' based of some sort, and a salt water flush and dry between applications might still be a good idea.
Unless he is continuing to aggressively pursue her, or if she is showing signs of distress...I don't think you would need to separate her.
Just my 2 cents.
