the clover flower is safe yes.

However you must make sure if you are picking wild that it has not been sprayed with anything and the land it's growing on hasn't been sprayed or treated I.E. lawn treatments pesticides synthetic fertilizers chemicals etc... any of this would render the flower unsafe.

Yeah as long as there are no pesticides or fertilizers it is safe! My gliders seem to prefer the purple clover flowers. Last time I went clover picking for them I collected all the flower heads and made a little "clover pom pom pit" for them in a basket. Boy was the cage messy with pieces of flower the next morning :)
