So my 7 month old male's scent gland on his chest seems to be swollen and hairless. I have a picture of it, but I have no idea how to posts pictures.

I'm not sure why it's like that. It could be like a pimple and the oil is trapped or maybe he's using it to mark things too much. Could he be over grooming that spot?

What are your thoughts? If you want to see the picture just tell me how to post it.

I haven't seen this in my research, but if it looks in any way "wrong" to you, you should take him to the vets asap. Gliders can hide their problems very well, and you never know if he's in pain. Some people here may have dealt with this and can help with follow-up questions afterwards.

I took him to the vet. She said it's normal. When some males go into puberty it can swell. It did go down today.

She said it's only a problem if it never goes down, keeps growing, or its red and there is discharged coming from it.

So if anyone has this problem there is no need to worry.
