ive had my glider for about 2 years now. before i was strict upon what i give them because i didnt want to risk my babies life seeing that some foods have not been discovered safe or toxic for them. i loosened up a bit with what i feed them so heres some snacks my babies love a lot (as snacks not daily treats)
cheerios , people give the honey but my kiddo loves fruits & veggies so he loves the strawberry blueberry cheerios and he eats them like bagels.
yogurt drops , my mom gets it from costco. they're the white ones. some people give them white chocolate with no cocoa in them, but i would rather just insist yogurt drops. i recently experimented with the baby food yogurt from the store, theyre strawberry yogurt drops all natural flavor, they both love it.
honey , i feel like this is essential to wht they eat anyway but i only give it to them as snacks.
waffle , i read that they can have it even though theres flour in it which is hard for them to digest. i only gave them some 2 days ago (they're still alive so it'll be a monthly treat from now on) and i plan to once every 1-2 months.
veggies that are safe for them to have:
celery, bak choy, carrots, kale , lettuce , cucumber , beets
i usually just give them the baby food in a jar/bag. super cheap and lasts very long to feed them. i dont do the whole sugar glider based diet or pellets since pellets are bad to their system and the based diet i know my kids are picky and will go on a hunger strike if they dont want it.
