I still cant clip my male sugar glider, crash's nails! It's so frustrating! I've had him for 2 years now and he still bites, still isnt bonded to me, and still gives me so much trouble when I clip his nails. I cant get anybody else even to hold him, as I cant hold him myself. I've tried to grab some gloves, and try to hold him at least as firmly as I could without holding him, but she struggles so much and he wont stay still! I'm just at such a loss, I feel as though I've tried everything with him. I used to be able to do it with a lot less fuss, but he has gotten worse and I just dont understand why. Can anybody please help?? His nails are long overdue and i just cant get them and I'm worried that hell get stuck. Please help

we went to a vet that said they could cut nails for 10 bucks, but I cut nails
about every 3 weeks. We had cut the gliders nails once at this point, the gliders
were new to us, and this was glider 3 and 4 for us. anyway the vet had no idea
what to do and couldn't control the gliders or cut their nails. on the way home
I told my wife we did a better job the first time we ever cut nails.
1. so call a vet?

my local petsmart does dog and cat grooming, one of the employees told me they
have a groomer that has gliders, said they could probably give me tips on nail
cutting, but by then I had it down, with help from my wife. I could have probably
got them to cut nails.

other then that, I say find a helper.
I wrap the glider in a fleece blanket, this darkness helps calm them down.
I get my hand behind their butt so they cant reverse direction,
I get my thumb over their head so they cant go forward,
I then pull out a leg for my wife to start cutting.

even the less bonded gliders seem to calm down and let us cut their nails,
in the past some of them did crab crazy, but I'm holding firm enough they cant
more around much and have to just take the cutting.

thats the best I got. you have to just hold them and let them be angry, but
I cant do it without a helper myself.

one last part, buy live mealworms and get your glider to be more bonded or
friendly, my least bonded glider will do extra nice stuff for a LIVE mealworm, even
crawl on my shoulder.
