I just want to get a clear picture here. So, you've spent plenty of time with them out of cage...like putting them in whatever play area you use (tent, bathroom, etc.)? Or are you saying that part hasn't been done and that you're introducing straight into the cage?
Anyway, my thoughts here are that when there are multiple gliders in a cage that often 2 or more wheels (depending on size of colony and cage) are definitely needed. It's not as common for 2 not to be able to share 1 wheel, but if he's bound and determined not to share just put a second wheel in on the opposite side. He can't guard them both very well. It may be something he just gets over as the two of them bond...but until then...try 2 wheels?
