Most any apple juice you would drink. With no sugar added. Any preservatives are usually natural and okay. White grape juice is acceptable to. Do not use Frozen. Hope this helps

They really don't drink much water. Most of their fluids come from the foods they eat. What do you feed him?

like said above, if they are eating Ohpw and apple or pears or other moist food they won't take much water.
So unless your glider is sick I wouldn't worry about it. Out of six
gliders I only see one drinking from bottle very often.

Gliders don't need anything added to their water supply, just plain straight water.

If your concerned they aren't drinking do a tent test, pinch the skin on the back of the neck, if the skin stays up like a tent they are dehydrated, if it goes right back down to normal they are not dehydrated.

There are a few reasons for nothing to be added to the water.

1 straight water is better for their kidneys and livers, just like with humans. Adding things to their water makes these organs work harder than they need to.

2 Adding gaterade is only done if and when a glider is definately known to be dehydrated or sick, once hydrated and well it's back to straight water.

3 Adding apple juice or gaterade to a water bottle, might make the ball in the tube stick, preventing any liquids from coming out. So by trying to get them to drink more you maybe cutting off their water supply and not know it. When we add things to their water when they are sick or dehydrated we are usually using a needless syringe, that doesn't have a tube and ball like water dispensers.

moist or dry nose will NOT tell you if the glider is dehydrated.

Try giving him some cantaloupe or watermelon if he won't drink from the bottle for now.

I'm guessing your not in the US ... other countries have different diet and feeding standards than we do here. Having said that, pellets being the primary source maybe why he isn't getting enough fluids from his normal food, causing the dehydration.

Normally I would suggest one of the widely used diets that we use here, it is a nectar or liquidy type of food, but I have no idea if any of the ingredients would be available to you , where ever you are. There are some places that ship world wide but I'd guess that would get pretty expensive in a hurry.

you r right, im not from us. most of what you guys used such as bml or hpw is not available here. it needs to b shipped which cost alot. the only big brand glider food are kichona and hpw ready mix. the ready mix is not as good as the one you guys used cos my glider really hate it

My glider loves just straight up apple juice. MUST BE 100% JUICE. You know it's good stuff when the carbs and sugars are the same number. Fruits have natural sugars but please don't be lazy. READ THE INGREDIENTS TO MAKE SURE NO SUGAR HAS BEEN ADDED. I can't stress that enough.

If you want to avoid the common problems with pellets (dehydration, constipation, and jaw problems) you can put the pellets in a coffee grinder type blender and then add water so it is closer to a nectar type diet
