As I've mentioned before, I have lost two gliders recently that I adopted from Pocket Pets. It was a very heartbreaking ordeal and I'm still upset about it.

I still have one female, Cam, and have been searching for her a companion. Due to the loss of my other two suggies, I've become very stressed over the health and well being of Cam. So much so, that if I wake up during the night, I always go in to check on her and give her attention. I worry about losing her too and it's beginning to take a toll on me emotionally. I don't want to adopt her out but I don't know how much more of the constant worrying I can take.

I know I must sound silly, I just need to know I'm not the only one who stresses. Is this normal? Will it pass? Are there suggie shrinks out there than can offer some advice for my mental well being?

Sounds like you are keeping a close eye on her and spending time with her, but you are correct to worry as suggies really do need a little friend of their own kind.

If you want to tell us where you are located, we can all keep our eyes open and help you find a rescue suggie. Have you looked in your local Craigslist? Lots of suggie slaves have found their little furbutts there.

Sorry - you became one of us crazies the day you got your suggies. There is no saving you now.

*hugs* I am so sorry for the loss of two of your suggies. I think with time there will be a bit less worry. You will always worry. I think if you find her a friend it will make things better!

Ï can tell you, I have gone through this phase with my own boy. I was crying my eyes out and reading about SMing and posting here like the crazy goosemom I am. The worry and guilt I had because of my little boy kept me up at night playing with him and keeping him company. People here think I never sleep, and frankly, I sometimes didn't because of the concern I had for my boys health and mental wellbeing. It didn't go away until I went and illegaly got him a friend. They aren't together yet, but I feel a whole lot better because I know I have gotten him a friend and he will be happy eventually. The worry is still there, but in a very much smaller scale and the guilt has gone away completely. So the best thing you can do for your suggies sake, and your own for that matter, is to get her a friend. It helps, trust me

Yes, well, finding cagemates for suggies in Finland turned out to be pretty much impossible, so eventually I started looking abroad and that's how I ended up smuggling baby Gilbert over from Sweden.

CamsMom, I had Huubert, my older boy, for 6months as a loner before I got my hands on Gilbert. I must tell you, now I have two "loners", but I still don't stress about them at all as much as I did before with only Huubert. The guilt is gone. I know my babies will eventually be happy together. My own mental health improved a whole deal once I got Gilbert, even tho they aren't even together yet, I still feel better. It will surely pass for you too once you get little Cam a friend of her own

All of you are so amazing! I feel so much better now and want to say thank you for all your words of wisdom and support. And I agree, the Pocket Pets diet is terrible. I'm working on getting her on a much better diet. She had boiled chicken for the first time last night and she loved it.

I live in West Tennessee and am willing to travel a reasonable distance to get her a companion. If any of you hear of anyone that has a suggie available, preferably a female 5 months or older, I would greatly appreciate it if you'd let me know.

All of you really are an amazing support group. I am so happy I found this site! Much love to you all!!

Bre that was really sweet of you to search those sites for camsmom. I'm very sorry for you loss as well. I do know how you feel. Since I read the post of the member who found her baby hanging on a thread I constantly check on them. If I talk to them and the don't respond I reach in and pet them to make sure they are ok. They certainly get a hold of your heart and it is hard not to worry about them. Hang in there. Hugs sent your way!!!
