I have read alot about how to bond with a glider and everything but how do you know when they are bonded to you? I have had my glider for three weeks. I do tent time and stuff with him. He is more confortable with me and does crab much at all anymore but how do you know that they are bonded enough that I dont have to worry about him running off if I take him out of his cage. I afraid if he gets out I wouldn't beable to catch him.

Sounds like you are making good progress with him. However they are animals and therefore unpredictable. Even if you were completely bonded he is probally going to run off and do his own thing from time to time. Most everybody here uses a tent or glider proof bathroom for play time that way they can't get away.

You'll know when they've bonded with you when trhey don't crab a lot at you, don't mind you holding them.

About him running off, when I first got my glider's I made a "Clucking" noise and would give them a treat. Now they associate that noise to treat, and if they run off, I cluck, and they come. It's actuallt quite simple to train them that way.

If your worried about him running off, then always make sure the room his cage is in is secure, and the door is shut before you open his cage.

I've found you can really easily cheat the bonding proccess with treats!
