Can you feed a sugar glider a raw normal potato?

You can feed regular potato but there is no nutritional value in it, so I would probably skip the potato. Try sweet potato the calcium to phosphorus ratio is much better.

Raw sweet potato is much better for them. Remember how tiny they are and that every bite they eat has to be something nutritious.

Okay, so they will eat raw sweet potato! I have been cooking it before serving. Please verify that this is correct.

They can have it raw, it depends on preference. My girls will only eat it when its kind of soft.

mine will eat them raw & cooked. their poo does turn orange,tho. i was so upset the first time i fed this, i didn't realize it would change the color of the poo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes I put the sweet potato in the microwave and kind of "bake" it for them. Spoiled little brats

I always "bake" the sweet potato also, usually helping myself to one also. xD

Thank You! I was not sure when I read that but now I know. Normally I cook (read microwave)it and let it cool before serving it. I may see if they will even touch it raw.
