Subject: Traveling overseas for the holidays...

hello there~
Ok...couple of questions...

1) I think my family will be going overseas (egypt) for Christmas for a week or so. I have taken my two with me everywhere and so they have travelled all over the place and are used to that aspect of it. They have a travel cage and everything and I bring a collapsable call for them to play in when they are with me. But this is the first time they will be travelling overseas and I don't know if this is a good idea. My mohter is a flight attendant and is very accustomed to the proceedures at customs and we are all concerned that they will be confiscated. When I travel on the plane I just....don't flip here....keep them in my bra and they stay veeerry quiet and sleepy. No one knows that I even have them with me on hte plane when I do this and they reamin unnoticed, which works for all partied involved. But security is a bit more extreme at customs and ask you to declare whatever you are bringing with you into the USA--including animals. Also...will the change in environment/food(?) hurt them? I am a little concerned. I really do not have anyone for htem to stay with here and so I could use any advice you got!

b) I know this must have been adresses 1,000 times, but I have had my babies for a few months now and they have never smelled at all. I keep their cage really clean and their nest box and they really do keep themselves clean too. They never smelled at all. Well for the last few days I have been staying with a friend and they have been with me. I have literally changed the cage everyday and bleached it a few times this week too, but they smell....whew! I am wondering if it has something to do with what they are eating although there has been nothing unusual lately in their diet. Could it be maturation of the male? WHAT CAN I DO?? if I do end up leaving them with someone I do not want them to have this awful smell and frankly I don't want my room to smell.

HELP!

thanks
Twinkle
