Gliders, as with all animals, will show signs of going through yearly cycles. Mine will be a lil more groggy in the winter when suppertime comes. It takes a bit longer for them to wake up and start their antics...

Drinking more water could be due to the humidity (or lack of) in your house. Take into consideration what kind of heat you use and whether or not it has been running more often lately...
Or their little bodies could just be telling them that they need the nutrients in the waterbottle mixture...

Try baking the potatoe, cutting it open and mushing it with a fork. Then add a bit of honey to the gooo, mixing it some more. My gliders LOVE it this way (*it really tastes awful!) and will pay attention to nothing but the potatoe til its gone.
