i'm glad you posted this message.....this is one side of owning a glider not many see on these boards. granted they are cuty and cuddly ( after alot of work). but not every glider is suited for a pet, as well as not every person is suited for a glider...they take alot of time and patience. i've had my 2 for almost 5 months and i'm still working at it. i recommend before anyone decides to buy a glider, to read EVERY post on this board (aside from the trouble makers) and decide if you can take out at least 2 hrs a day to devote to these little guys..more time is better. that doesn't count feeding them, and cleaning the cage..., be albe to aford minimun $250-400 just to start off, then about $20 a week for food, and then figure in vet bills avg about $20 a month (gusstimate) then about another $30 every couple months for nail trims if you don't want to do it yourself (not really easy unless you got 2 people then still difficult)..also keep in mind they live for 12-15 yrs....that will involve alot of time and money through the life of the glider.granted i wouldn't give up my babies for anything, but not everyone can feel this way about an animal....hope anyone that reads this getts a better picture on what is involved wiht these little creatures. have a fine glider day.
dom
