It sounds like your glider has reached the adolescent phase of his life. You should also see him begin to mark his surroundings by rubbing himself against them and you too as he lays claim to you. The barking is natural and most of the gliders do either stop or decrease their barking when a little light is provided. I don't think that you have anything to worry about.
