Brent,

If all your vet says is true, it sounds ok. But ask your self some really tough questions, like what if she gets sick and has to have that surgery? Can I afford it if she gets sick? What if she dies?

I know they are really hard questions to ask yourself, but if you can live with it, I'd say go for it. I rescued my babies from a pet store and a flea market. Romeo developed hind leg paralysis just about 1 month after I got him. My hubby got the 1st pair for me for xmas. I fought so hard to save his life, after spending more than what the pair cost, I am happy to say that he is still with us and soon to become a daddy. I would have done it for any animal. So if your heart tells you to go for it, than do it. I would in a heart beat and try to give her as much love as possible. Besides All could be just fine.

Good luck with your new babies....

: Hello! I'm going to pick up my new friends tomorrow! I can't wait!! There names are Xena and April! Thay both are 18 months old and of differant blood lones. In talking to their present owner he told me about a little health problem! You can read below what he told be about her! I was wandering if anyone else has this happen to their glider!

:
: One thing you should know aobut Xena is that she has this bludge on her neck.. its failry large, but it poses no threat to her.. I took her to the vet a few weeks ago to have it checked out. The vet withdrew a little of the fluid form the buldge and it is only salivia.. He said that apperently the duct to her saliva gland on that side is blocked and the extra saliva is buidling up.. It is not fatal, she is iun no pain form it.. The vet said itis just a cosmetic thign that she will have to live with. HE said thiscondition also occures in humans and other animals, and there is a surgery to correct it, but it has been never been done on somethign that small, so the best thign to do is just let it go.
