How long have you had her, have you given her a chance to get settled in her new environment? Was she tame with whomever you recieved her from? When she does come out to play, can you handle her then and how does she respond to you?

Sounds to me like she just needs to get used to you, try offering her treats when you go to wake her up, now and then mine will still crab at me ( they are not overly tame, I got them a few months ago and they are over a yr old each ) but if I just ignore the sounds and scoop them up quickly I can place them in my pocket, this helped to get them used to me and my scent... now if I even open the cage any time of the day they will poke a head out to see if I have anything yummie and my one female will glide/jump down onto me even though she isn't content to sit in my hand she wil run around on me and play...give it time and dont give up, you must take any bites and ignore any sounds otherwise the glider will know how to keep you away
