Jane is right, being a teen glider owner isn't really the best! I know, I've been there and still am. Until you reach 18 years of age your parents still have complete control over you and your gliders(I've learned the hard way). Take for example what happened to me a few months ago: My glider Jerry had bit a toad(Long story)and I didn't know what to do! He was puking on me, wouldn't eat or drink, he was shaking and I was just scared to death. So, I came on here and asked for help and was told to get him to a vet and if I couldn't to at least call one. Of course I went and asked before I made a long distance call(to a vet that was requested to me). My parents said no! I then asked about a closer one, still the answer was no! I had a sick glider on my hands and couldn't do a thing! That's a perfect example. Yes, Jerry is fine now. Here's another example of why it isn't the greatest to be a teen glider owner: 2 months ago my family was supposed to go on vacation. Not very far away and only for a week. Then the glider issue came up. Well, would the gliders be coming or not? My mom worked it all out with me and the gliders were coming. Oh, but wait a sec! Stepdad says no! So now what would be happening to the gliders?? My mom stuck to them coming and was prepared to stay home with me so I could be with my gliders(I will not go anywhere longer than 24 hours without my gliders). My mom knows that if my gliders are not with me I would not be relaxed so there would be no point of a vacation. Stepdad still said no so I planned on staying home with my mom and the Sugar G's and not going on vacation. Now, how many teens would do that??? In the end something came up and no one went on vacation anyways. One more thought: Going out to eat and various other places teens also do not have the decision as to whether the gliders come or stay. Sometimes I am not allowed to bring my gliders with me when we go out places. This is just a taste of why it's so hard to be a teen glider owner. No, I am not sorry Ihave my gliders at all!
Sorry I had to stick my 2 cents in, but just wanted to share a little about teen glider owners since I happen to be one.
