: We have a 2 year old female glider and we would like to breed her. She is capable of breeding, right? How many years can they breed for, until they are too old to reproduce? Well, anyway, to the point, we are going to purchase a baby male. How would we go about introducing him to her without a large scwabble? We want them to be friends, and to breed, and what procedures do we have to go through? ANY info would be helpful. Thanx so much to anyone who helps.
: P.S.
: Our female is bonded to us very well, would she love the other glider instead of us?

We introduced a new glider (female) to my 2 year old female and they didn't really have any problems
getting along. My first glider was very bonded to us and happy, but was overjoyed by the new addition
and is very protective and loving to her. I don't think she depends on us as much as she used to to be her
friends, but she is still very lovey with us and still would be considered strongly bonded-we just don't
feel as guilty when we can't play with her one evening.

Our older glider is very motherly towards the baby, and extrmely curious is everything she does. It was definately
worth the lessinging of the bonding to us to see how happy she is with her new buddy.

When we got our second glider we had them in separate cages next to eachother, and had supervised visiting. Actually,
it was only about 4 days before we felt they could be together-they actually were pleading to be together, barking, and trying to
get closer together. Just take the intros slow, and make sure you reassure your older glider so she dosn't feel like she's being
replaced.
