: : Does anyone know if it is safe to use galvinized wirewhen making a glider cage, if not what is best to use?Thank You Snooky.

: I have read on several websites that galvanized wire can cause heavy metal poisoning. However, I had been using a galavanized wire cage with no problems. (It is very noisy and you may not want to make your cage out of it if you're keeping it in the bedroom.) I just finished making a new cage for my glider but I used vinyl coated galvanized wire fence (5/8" x 5/8".) It is MUCH quieter. I found this stuff at Builders Square in the garden section. It comes precut and prepackaged and is called Handi-Roll. Another alternative is to use clear acrylic panels or plexiglass. However, it might be harder to work with and be more expensive?

IT MAY COST MORE BUT THINK OF YOUR BABIES
