: I just got a 4 1/2 month old glider (thats what the pet store guy said anyway) we'll he still hasn't calmed down and certainly won't let me pick him up and put him in my pocket. He will let me pet him in the cage though and will eat mealworms from my hand. I only have had him three days but he still seems really scared. What can i do
: thanx

BE VERY PATIENT.
I dont know of any animal with half a brain that would be comfortable in having human contact expecially after being on show at a pet shop. You must have some idea of the hell he probably went through with people walking in every five minutes and wanting to touch the neat little animal... Be very patient, and if I were you, I would put him away in a low light room for a few days with no contact whatsoever. Just drop food in his bowl and leave him alone. Let him adjust to his surroundings before you force yourself on him. Then, the only way that I know to get him to respond to you is to let him walk onto your hand himself. If you force that first step on him, you two will never make it.
