: I am concerned about the protein aspect of my gliders diet. When I first got him I was told to give him some baby food with meat in it
: like once a week or so. I have recently learned that some are feeding mealworms. My question is how do they give them to the gliders.
: I have hear they have a shell that has to be removed, so do you cut them up! Or feed them live? Please respond!

I have and will never feed these things to my gliders. For protein, I always supply a little special dry cat food. When the opportunity avails itself, I will also add home-cooked meats. I sprinkle vitamin powder twice a week on their favorite foods. They love everything and are very healthy, and they have learned to leave the passingby crickets alone.
