The Possums that these people are talking about are infact

"pests". However it is infact mostly ringtail and brushtail possums

that find there way into homes. These two possums are very plentyful through out Australia

Once the get into a person's roof, most people find this irritating enough

to have them captured by proffesionals, however I have never heard of anyone

having a possum exterminated, as far as Im aware, they are captured

in special trap-cages (not harmed) and released into the bush.

Also..in relation to Kasey's comment about proof on the internet..

I did infact find a site that states that sugar gliders are on the endangered

species list. Ive attached the URL..

(Although they do state that it is a yellow bellied glider..so i could be wrong..)
