I purchased two 'bird food bowls' at PETsMART for, like, 97 cents. To insert them, you lift up these "doors" that slide up and down. They bowls have a ridge so that they stay put, but no wire hooks to attach to a cage without the doors. How can I put these sliding doors on my cage? (They are common on bird cages and they simply lift up and you place they bowl in the correct position and then let it come back down.)

What type of latch should I use on the cage door? What kind should I use for the doors for the food bowls?

Lastly, any suggestions on how it should be put together?
