: : hehe, sounds like you had quite a day. Just to ask what was the spacing of the wire. 1" by 1/2" should be the largest possible spacing to use. They are small and as you can see get into very tiny spaces. Please if you let them out of the cage gliderproof your room good! trust me they get into stuff fast. Cover electric sockets and block off any spaces they can get into that you can't get them out of. Good luck.

: I had one inch by 2 inch on the cage, a web page told me that was a good size, or I read it wrong. But she slipped right though , so I'm going to the Hardware store to get some 1 inch by 1/2 an inch, to attatch to the cage and fix it. I'll be okay, just missing classes thats all. I hope she hasn't been traumatized. I find myself continually looking in on her. She hasn't eaten all her food. I have her some diced apples and peaches, some stripped sandwich meat, and part of an egg. Hopefully she'll eat it while I'm not in the room. She seems active, though. The room has been gliderproofed. I've blocked off smaller places, and I've covered all the unused outlets in duct tape. Also covered my fish bowl. I doubt Gildenstern (a betta) would appreciate the inquisitive Desdemona ("Dizzy") dunking in on him!
