: You see, I just got a baby Sugar Glider a week ago tomorrow (Well, not baby..She's about 2 1/2 months) and she keeps on getting her nails caught in her nest box bedding. I've changed it out about 4 times, and put different fabrics and stuff in, but no matter what her nails still get caught in the various fabrics. Is that normal? I mean, she can 'un-tangle' her nails sort-of speak, but is that common? Is this an indication that her nails are too long? She's only 2 1/2 months though? Thanks for the future replies...

My guy's get stuck in his occasionally. I'm afraid to clip his and plan to get sandpaper discs for his cage to file them on his own. I just wonder if that is good for the pads of his feet! but i hear the sand paper works. They are rolls that slide on the cage sticks that come in bird cages so he'll wear nails down as the crawls on them. A lot of glider stuff is made of fleece so maybe that is the best material
