: I know some people are against "American Express" gliders(never leave home without it), but I am curious as to who all has one, how long it took you to bond with it, If you use a leash, and also if anyone has carried the female with joeys in the pouch.

I everyone! It is good to see some familar names poseted reciently and the new ones aswell!!! :) "American Express" Gliders....well I suppose that is exactly what Pico is. I rairly leave home with out him, ever. The only time I opt to leave him at home is when I got the beach or a fancy dinner (although I'll admit to doing that once...but that is a story for a later date). Anyway, from when I got Pico I just carried him around in his pouch. Because I had been told that it is easiest to bond with them at a young age...so I took him EVERYWHERE with me. As he got bigger he didn't really like the pouch and I was starting to feel stupid carrying it around so he crawled into my pocket and that was his "new place". BUT now if I have no pockets and am wearing a sports bra...he just crawls in there! Really he loves it ;) and just curls up and goes to sleep. I would be feel like I was missing something now if I didn't have him with me. Sorta like if you wear a ring all the time then forget to put in on...you feel
'naked'. The leash.....Pico has one and I use it....but I started using it as a play thing first so that he loves it and isn't scared of it. Now I can put it on him and he has absoultly no problem with it at all. Actually he chases the leash-string around and around for min. at a time! (it is to funny to watch)So as for being trained....I never really trained him. He was a great tempered Glider to start with. I have never had any of the horror stories of the gliders biting hard enough to draw blood...or being scared of me...or any of that stuff. Pico has been a joy from get go! that is why I love him so much I suppose! They really are easy creatures to get along with and they all have uch different personalities that it is really quite comical to watch 'em. Feel free to email me with Glider stories or questions, although I am not an expert...I just know how my glider is and what I have done for him.
So GOOD LUCK and HAPPY GLIDERING....form Ariana and PICO lkiu-0b7pgvv ....ha ha ha....the little weasle just jumped outta my pocket and onto the keyboard....maybe he wanted to say 'bye' aswell!!! :)
