Gliders generally weigh between 90 to 130 gms. If your glider is grown, you didn't mention age, that should be a good weight for him. As for the beets I would think that if they are fresh and not pickled that they would be okay. You would want to watch the vinegar that they use in pickling beets when feeding them to gliders. I do not believe that you can give a glider too much protein. They usually metabolize what they need and excrete the rest. This is not so with many vitamins and minerals but is true with protein. You do not want to give them so much in the way of protein sources though that they do not eat enough of the other foods to maintain a healthy balance.
