Brisky's is supposed to be a completely balanced diet for gliders...however...it is likened to oatmeal everyday of your life for every meal. I read that since gliders are kept out of their natural habitat when you have them in captivity their main source of enjoyment is playtime and the food they eat. Therefore, usually people like to liven up their diet a bit and give them choices. That is why you feed fruit and veggies. The only problem is that when you feed fruits and veggies it unbalances their diet, so then you have to compensate by also adding a source of protein (meat) and a source of calcium (which I believe gets thrown off because the phosphorus ratio in fruit is so high) That is why you add leadbeaters or sprinkle rep-cal on their fruit. Anyway, I hope this goes some way to help:) About the fruitflies...I dont know what to do about them...I havent gotten fruit flies.

: I was wondering if you have to use any other supplements with Brisky's? Do you have to give them an extra supplement for calcium or anything? I was just curious because I am having serious fruit fly problems and I am thinking about switching.
: Thanks!
