Our pet shop sells those cages, they are prttey good, however I have a couple of problems with it, I do prefer them over the bird cages though. the problems I have seen with it are...
1. the legs are very unstable, when the gliders run around in it, the cage shakes, scares me to death..
2. the top edges where the wire is bent over towards the top needs a support brace across it.. the wire is the weakest there...
3. the size of the gaps, are simi9lar to that of a bird cage.. the 2 inch height allows for less security.. the recommended, size is 1/2" X 1" I use 5/8" inch squares.. shouldn't be any bigger than that.. Especially if you plan on having babies in it.. or very young gliders..
I have personally seen these and tried to talk to the petshop about asking the manufactueres to fix these probs..either the manufacturers don't think this is an issue, or the petshop didn't talk to them. These are big concerns, especially if you have ever seen a glider get it's head stuck in the cage wire and watch them twist and turn to get out..
Ashjan USED to have a bird cage, till the babies came.. then she seen the concern with their little head size.. she now has a 5/8 in sqare wire..pvc coated..
another place to try for cages is..
