Depending on where you are shipping from, the flights are usually quick less than 4 hrs. I had my gliders shipped from Texas (priority animal carriage via. American Airlines). The animals don't get thrown around or dropped! or at least they are not supposed to [i'm sure accidents do happen]. I would not have my animals shipped by a 3rd rate airline, nor would I have animals as fragile as Gliders shipped over seas! But having them flown for 3 0r 4 hours once in there life should be okay. This is my opinion and i'm sure that others have a different point of view and to be completely honest I preferbly would not want to put any animal through shipment etc.. but some times it is the only option outside of getting an untamed mishandled inbred glider!

: I was wondering how many people really think it's ok to

: ship gliders, or for the matter any animal exotic or not.

: I've been reading posts from a lot of different boards about

: people wanting a glider, and will pay for it to be shipped.

: Or a breeder that will ship. Do no one realize that the poeple

: at the airports dont care about anything being shipped through

: airlines. The workers go through baggage, and think how easily

: they loose it. All the story people tell about what happened

: to a glider they paid for to get shipped. Getting a glider

: from a pet store is almost as bad as getting one shipped.

: The pet store is quiter than an air plane. Please give your

: opions on what you think about shipping gliders. You know mine.

: Looking forward for your respones.
