: If you think about it, 5 weeks really isn't that long if you consider Homer could possibly live for 15 years. You say he doesn't crab as much and you can take him everywhere... what exactly do you want him to do? What does bonded mean to you? I think this would make for a great discussion. I have had my gliders since March and April. They don't crab (at any time of the day), they come when I call them, and they groom/glider kiss me as a greeting. Yet they really don't stay in a bonding pouch or pocket. I get them out every night, and talk to them sometimes during the day, and let them hold me when they sit and have a treat.
: There really isn't an answer to your question. As every glider (and owner) is different. And many probably gave up on their gliders before what their idea of a bond was was met.
ok, well i had my glider for sometime NOW!i mean like 4 or so months!
he is kinda bonded not totally.but i am trying something new with him.
every morning my mom got him out and since he really isn't that bonded
he would take off for our piano!!and he would sleep in there all day!
so i got so pissed off at here (i know i am very bad)!
so now instead she takes him to her room shuts the door and lets him
run wild all over her room till he is ready to go to bed!
now get this he when he goes to bed he usually go's to the washbasket
full of clothes and curls up and goes to sleep! he loves jumping around
and just getting out all that energy. and while he does it he will jump from a high place
and then run over to us and jump on us then run away and go and jump some more
it's like this patern he has! so i want him more bonded cause he doesn't trust me that much.
and also to help them to learn there name tell them story's.like
at night like an hour before they get up just get them out let them curl up in your arm
and sleep and tell them a story.usually with friends and everyone's name in it should be there name!
and there should always be a good pair of gliders in the story and the very bad pair.(i.e) there was a bad
group of coco's and they always craped and bite and were very nasty, and then the good coco's never did that stuff
and all of the coco's wanted to be just like them.) as you can see i use my gliders name for every person in the story (coco)
and the people in the story are always gliders and there is a bad glider group and a good glider group. with the good glider group always winning
or whatnot in the end of the story! also sometimes i tell him a story with a lonely coco that goes out and makes
friends with other lonely coco's! get it now GO AND DO IT!:)
