I don't know when yours does the dance but my little girl Quinn does it when she's playing with me. My big guy Griz did it when he marked his teritory. Sometimes Griz would do a little butt waggle. I called it his aligator dance because he would grab onto the carpet with his teeth and wiggle his butt back and forth all the while doing a 360 turn in place. It looked as though Griz was savaging the carpet. I saw an aligator swimming once and their bodies do a similar movement hence the "aligator dance". When Griz did it, it was very cute to watch!.
