: Im so shocked and sad. Brizzo was perfectly fine!

I too know the pain from the loss of a glider that I was bonded with. I share your pain. I do not believe that you did anything wrong. My little gal was fine one morning and dead on the floor of her cage that afternoon. I had a necropsy done on her to discover what happened. There was an extensive necropsy done and according to the results she should not have been dead. They could not determine a cause of death for her. It sounds like Brizzo had a seizure, but I am not a vet and was not there. Gliders hide their illnesses so well until they are just too weak to do so anymore and by the time that we notice that they are ill it is usually much too late to do anything to help them. However I do not believe that your Brizzo was ill. Perhaps an embolism or hemmorrage caused a fatal seizure. There can be lots of speculation but without a necropsy pin pointing a cause of death you may never know why Brizzo died and even with a necropsy the results may not determine what happened. I am so sorry that you had to come to know this pain and if there is anything that I can do to help you in this your time of need, please do not hesitate to contact me and let me know what it is that I can do for you.
