If you are familiar with a particular pet shop who has gliders and cares for their animals properly then I do not see it as being a problem. More often than not though a glider coming from a breeder will have been taken better care of and will be more social because people have spent more time with them. The main problem with pet shops arise because most do not know how to take proper care of gliders and therefore these precious animals are neglected, anti-social and sometimes sickly.
