Four days ago i noticed that he had eaten a small peice of Oriental Ficus leaf and that plant is grouped under the collection of plants for Gliders not to have. Could this be the problem? He has Manzanita branches in his cage to chew on and he gets a very well balanced diet. Could this be a sign of calcium O.D.? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am calling the vet first thing in the morning to try and schedule a visit that day. Please help.

My Roseanne had this same problem over a year ago. I believe that her story is on the real stories page. She had an abcess on her right cheek. She had two small puncture wounds that could not be seen until they shaved her cheek. She was treated with Baytril and Neosporin after a C & S was done and found that she had two different bacteria that were sensitive to these two medications. Yes get her into a vet ASAP and have her checked.
