: Bear has a swollen jaw, the right side of his face is swollen and his eye is not quite open as big as the left side. Four days ago i noticed that he had eaten a small peice of Oriental Ficus leaf and that plant is grouped under the collection of plants for Gliders not to have. Could this be the problem? He has Manzanita branches in his cage to chew on and he gets a very well balanced diet. Could this be a sign of calcium O.D.? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am calling the vet first thing in the morning to try and schedule a visit that day. Please help.
