I have severe asthma around cats or Australian birds. I also have allergy problems with chinchilla dust, feed, etc. However, I'm not allergic to gliders (other than itchy welts from toenails which Bourbon gave the cure for). I would suggest looking for a breeder near you who will let your boyfriend spend time with the gliders to judge his reaction. I have actually done this several times with people who were unsure of whether or not they would have a problem. I, and most reputable breeders, would rather spend several hours (days), being sure that a glider will be placed in a good home and not get a call in a few days that there is an allergy problem.

: Hi,

: I'd really appreciate some answers if anyone has one. My fiance is allergic to most mammals and I was wondering if anyone has any idea how Sugar Gliders affect allergies. Do they cause a severe reaction? Or just some sniffling? I'd absolutely love to get a sugar glider, but I don't want to cause him to suffer because of it. If anyone has some input, I'd be very thankful.
