yes you do have to get permission from the airlines to travel with them, if you sneak them on there is a possibility of them being confiscated and you wouldn't want to have him taken away i am sure. we are flying u.s. air and we have to pay 50$ each way for him to go and have a certificate of health, as far as health people that have taken them have told us that they were perfect angels and didn't seem to bother them. so make sure you find out.
