Not to jump on anyone here but whoever sold you that glider obviously was more concerned that you were happy than for the health of the glider. There is absolutely no reason to take an unweaned baby away from it's parents when they are taking care of it. Any INFORMED person would be aware of the risks involved and more than likely would take the best interests of the glider into mind and NOT SELL AN UNWEANED BABY!!!!! They learn how to eat properly and "be a glider" from their parents. When you rip them away from that so you can have this cute little baby to call your own you are putting the baby seriously at risk of numerous health and eating habits problems. I have been fortunate and only had to bottle feed 1 glider ever because the parents for some reason abandoned it. I hope I never ever have to do it again. You need to feed it a special formula for omnivorius marsupials and be sure to keep it warm. Also, if you took the baby early thinking it would make a better pet than a weaned baby, you were sorrily mistaken. I have found that my naturally weaned, but handled from pouch emergence babies are just as good if not better than the 1 I bottled. That is a common misconception with gliders and bottling them uneccesarily does nothing but risk their health and their lives. Not that you are going to take the baby back to it's parents but if you ever decide to get another one or if anyone reading ever thinks about doing this uneccessary procedure I urge you to think about the well-being of the glider first and put your want for a cute little baby second.

: Hi everyone in gliderland! I got my first baby today. She is about 10 dayys OOP and has to be bottle fed. She has actually eaten from her bottle twice. I'm very excited but I'm also scared. I really want her to live. Keep us in your thoughts and wish us well.
