and not a flying squirrel? One of the techs at my vets office found a 'sugar glider' and brought it in, she said it was attacked by a cat. When I walked in and saw it in the tank it wasn't a glider, but everyone else said it was. This was before my vet had come in, she told me when she walked in that the tech said they had a glider but I ended up correcting her. It looked similar to my gliders, but was more brownish and the eyes werent quite as big and round, the nose was too pointy and the feet were not glider feet at all. It had no pouch or scrotum on the belly area. The wing edge(gray or brown/white) on a glider looks like it's sewn together, but on the flying squirrels it doesnt have that look to it. Flying squirrels also have a really puffy, flat tail, gliders tails are more round and much longer. Don't forget that stripe on the gliders head all the way down its back. Not to say that it *isn't* a glider, because its entirely possible, but quite a few people have been mistaking Flying Squirrels for gliders. Also, where do you live?
