Hi Debra...I had to go back and read what happened to your glider. I have been gone for a while. Thought I would share a little story of what happened to my "bonded glider". So I agreed with Betsy on the fact that she was upset at being left behind and possibly feeling replaced.

My Willow was my first baby and we were and are still buds. But I had to go to Mexico for 2 weeks and leave her with a sitter. I had the forethought to get her a mate before I left so she wouldn't be too lonely. I knew my friend & caretaker would play with her but it isn't the same when they think of you as "Mom"! Willow was quite young when I got her also, though not as young as Jamie. When I returned home she heard my voice and came out of her bed and started rattling the cage bars. She was so excited to see me. I laughed and got her out ASAP. She ran all over me then cuddled in my hands. All of a sudden she looked up at me and then turned and bit my finger so hard it drew a drop of blood!!!!!! Then she ran off. She refused to come near me again. I had to make her come back to me. It actually took almost a week to settle her down so that she would snuggle on me again. It took time and consistant reaching for her, giving her goodies etc. She was MAD!!! LOL Well as fate would have it, I had to go again for 12 days. This time wasn't as bad. She remembered I guess that all would go back to normal soon. She is back to being my sweet baby. I know that yours will be that way soon also. I am glad she is on her way!

Hope you and your little one have a great New Year. =)

: About a month ago I was having a problem with a female glider that suddenly hated my guts. Some of you responded with it was my fault and my problem and it would be a long haul. Also some of you took the time to talk through some of the possible causes and solutions. Thanks. I am happy to say that in just a couple of weeks I was able to figure out what went wrong and we are back on friendly terms. I am so happy and she seems to be the well adjusted happy glider i wanted her to be again.. A little problem solving works miracles..... Again thanks.
